The Tesla Powerwall battery is a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, and powers your home in the evening. Automated, compact and simple to install, Powerwall enables you to maximise self-consumption of solar power generation.
Powerwall comes in 10Â kWh weekly cycle and 7Â kWh daily cycle models. Both are guaranteed for ten years and are sufficient to power most homes during peak evening hours. Multiple batteries may be installed together for homes with greater energy need, up to 90Â kWh total for the 10Â kWh battery and 63Â kWh total for the 7Â kWh battery.

We expect to be able to offer the Tesla Powerwall battery to our domestic and commercial customers in March 2016.
Leading solar PV inverter manufacturer SolarEdge have teamed up with Tesla to produce the StorEdge, an interface unit that allows existing SolarEdge inverters to communicate with the Powerwall battery system. This unit will be installed with the Powerwall for our existing customers with SolarEdge.
