Wool producer reduces CO2 emissions
Based in the Blackdown Hills, Corrymoor Socks is a Devon-based business that enjoys a worldwide reputation for producing wool products including socks, scarves and throws.
Owner Steve Whitley commissioned SOL Electrical to design and install a solar PV system that would best suit the farm’s particular energy requirements, whilst reducing the effect his business has on the environment.
System Details
- 8kW output
- Panels: 32 x Solar World Sunmodule 250 watt modules
- Inverters: 2 x SMA SB3600TL inverters
Taking into account income generated through the Feed-in Tariff and savings through producing their own electricity, Corrymoor Socks can expect their PV system to pay for itself within 7 years.
